ZOOM Ocean

A colorful and diverse realm for children ages 0 to 6 to explore and play

Have you ever heard of octopus crawlers, tickle anemones, or scaly deep-sea creatures? These and many other wondrous—and as yet undiscovered—finned inhabitants await you at ZOOM OZEAN.
With ZOOM OZEAN, the ZOOM Children’s Museum offers a unique play and discovery area specifically tailored to the needs and age-appropriate motor, cognitive, and social skills of children ages 0 to 6.

Here, children can slip into imaginative roles, explore their surroundings with nearly all their senses, try out movement games, put what they’ve learned into practice, and playfully immerse themselves in fascinating underwater worlds.

There’s plenty to discover across two levels:
In the underwater world of ZOOM OZEAN, mirrored tunnels, water grottoes, tickling anemones, and a slanted coral reef invite children to explore the space with their whole bodies. Dressed in imaginative underwater costumes, the children transform into extraordinary sea creatures and embark on an exciting journey of discovery.

Older explorers can board the “Famosa,” the OZEAN steamship, via a ramp. From here, the journey through the wondrous world of the sea continues: While “fishing,” they can turn the steering wheel, communicate with the lighthouse, and cross a bridge to reach the mainland, where a regularly changing destination invites them to linger. Finally, the wave slide leads down into the submarine. There, finds from the water and the mainland can be playfully examined and explored up close.

In addition to the permanent stations and play objects, flexible play modules are available that caregivers can integrate into the play experience on an individual basis. This creates a constant stream of new stories, encounters, and opportunities for playing, experimenting, discovering, and exploring—anew with every visit.

We recommend bringing non-slip socks.
