A journey through 30 years of ZOOM
ZOOM Children's Museum was founded in 1994 by Claudia Haas as the first Austrian children's museum. Since then, more than 2,5 million children and adults from Austria and around the world have visited ZOOM. Since 2001, ZOOM has been located in its current premises in Vienna's MuseumsQuartier. Elisabeth Menasse-Wiesbauer was director of ZOOM from 2003 to 2019. The museum is committed to ambitious, pioneering work in the field of children's culture. ZOOM has been a holder of the Austrian Museum Seal of Quality since fall 2014.
Andrea Zsutty has been the director of the ZOOM Children's Museum since 2019. Well over 100,000 children and adults take part in the diverse ZOOM program every year, making the ZOOM Children's Museum one of the most successful institutions for art and cultural education for children in Austria.
