Hands-on-
Exhibitions

The annual hands-on exhibition aims to promote knowledge, creativity, critical thinking and independence in thought and action. The exhibitions make topics from science, art, everyday culture and architecture tangible and perceptible for children aged 6 to 12.

All in the Family

A hands-on exhibition for children from 6 to 12

Mother, father, child, grandma, grandpa, grandchildren: many families are small, while others are very large. Sometimes family members live all over the world. And there are some families where the family members are not even biologically related.
Running time:
  • 28. September 2012 - 10. February 2013

    ZOOM Children's Museum

At this exhibition, you can get to know many different families. You can visit the father on paternity leave, the patchwork family with three children, the twins with two mothers, the deaf parents with their hearing child, the young mother still attending school, and the emailing great-grandmother. You make your way through a day in the life of a family, hearing family stories and dreams. As a family court judge, you try to make the right decisions: you can get married in the wedding room or hide in the nest und see how animal families take care of their children.

A production of Alice – Museum for Children at FEZ-Berlin and Franckesche Stiftungen at Halle.
